Somehow, some way, you gotta give Blake credit or is this happening DESPITE Blake et.al. and this is all an accident?

You are seriously not adding anything to any discussions right now. It's time to stop.

It’s an honest question. With all the shit flung at this management and coaching staff, all of a sudden everybody stopped agree that the team has turned the corner and is trending upward yada yada yada. But whatever. I know it’s good to see the team show progress under the same maligned leadership.

Spence continues to impress....he looks better than Durzi based on AHL showing. Not a slam against Durzi but his D was fairly suspect whereas Spence looks solid in all areas.

That's putting it nicely haha! It's really good to see him excelling with LA though. I think most of us figured he'd get a shot, but I don't think many saw him actually having a career, which while still early, looks very possible.

Good for him and good for Spence. Just wish they were bigger, but still excited about both their futures.

Durzi and Spence have very similar games though Spence skates a bit better IMO. Not sure if both will have a place in the next few years. Time will tell. But great to see both making progress.

There are going to be some very hard decisions coming up over the next 18-24 months. It’s a great situation to be in but the arguments on this board agreeing/disagreeing with the moves are going to be epic :naughty::nod::thumbu:

Blake has to make these decisions soon. He cannot get into a situation where it's keep a player or waive a player. That is the problem with marinating all of your prospects for years in the AHL. Eventually they become waiver eligible.

On the positive though, Byfield had another pretty solid game for the most part. Vilardi had an ok game and I know I mentioned he's played well, but honestly, his future seems a bit cloudy at the moment in terms of the NHL. Something still seems like it's missing.

It doesn't matter who the PP coach is. Spence took over the House of Durzi and he runs it. 1st yr pro, 20pts in 27gms and more than stats, he looks the part.

They have set plays for Frk and a low play when Byfield was there. Spence can execute those plays but he is not just a PP specialist, he is our best 5-5 AHL D man right now in all situations. Calling him just a PP quarterback is diminishing what he brings to the team.

Like I said a month ago in the Spence thread, he is playing better than Walker and Durzi in their first AHL rookie years and could turn into a mid round gem.

I wouldn't expect it any other way. LOL. They love to give up leads glad they were able to hold onto this one. Can the Kings sign Frk for another year cuz he's so damn good in the A.
