The 1976 Team Canada had an all - star lineup that were complete hockey players that backchecked as well as they played offensively. A very rare occurrence that a team built like they were actually played like there were no Stars. To win the Stanley Cup teams need to have a balanced team, where each player has particular roles and excel within the team concept or system, without this type of cohesion no team will ever win the Stanley Cup or Canada Cup/Olympic Gold. It's that simple, every player needs to realize the team and it's goal is more important than any personal glory. The Habs have always had the blueprint for success over all these years, and Marc Bergevin has rebuilt the team from the ground up and when the new prospects graduate, our Habs will again rise to the upper echelons of the NHL.
