Well it's all subjective in the end, but arguments could be made for Malkin last year, Påhlsson in 06 and Forsberg in 02.

Forsberg '02 put up 0 points in Game 6 and Game 7 with a trip to the Finals on the line as his team was eliminated. That's not MVP of the playoffs.

Påhlsson '07 on the other hand, I quite agree. He would have been the best choice that year.

Fedorov could have and maybe should have in 97.

Lidstrom could have won in 98, but Yzerman was a fine choice.

Pahlsson should have definitely been in the mix in 07.

Kopitar also could have easily won their last one.

Rask would have 100% won it if Bruins had won Hawks. You could argue that he should have won it anyway because Hawks didn't have any strong candidate.

When did Russia become part of Europe?
The most populated parts of russia are on the europe side of the mountains right ? Its obv in both continents but idk what the point of nitpicking europe vs asia vs eurasia when op obv just meant over the ocean.

May as well just have said only three non north americans ever won it

That just means he was all the more dominant before. He put up 27 points and led the playoffs in scoring.

Fedorov could (or should) easily have won a Smythe in 1997 instead of Vernon. Had many other super solid playoff runs.

Bure had a Smythe worthy playoff run in 1994 when he posted a 16 game long point streak.

I think Forsberg led the playoffs in scoring twice without even reaching the finals.

Krejci led the playoffs in scoring twice. Chara and Seidenberg were decent on that same team.

Kopitar led the playoffs in scoring twice.

Alfredsson had a decent run in 07.

Tikkanen was always a baller in the playoffs. Kurri always showed up.

But yeah, Joe Nieuwendyk was a better playoff performer than all of them because he was awarded a Smythe. He was also a better playoff performer than Doug Gilmour. Non-contextual award counting =

Who is this Erin? A singer lady perhaps? Or a ladyboy with locks of long hair?

By the way, good luck with the crusade champ! Slowly it will make you feel better, as the bitterness is poured on boards like this one.
