Recchi had him pinned against the net, with Havlat leaned back against it. Havlat swung his leg up to Recchi's crotch. Barely noticeable.

And then Recchi threw a temper tantrum.

I thought that was Havlat and Chara but that's impossible now that I think about it.

Ok first of all its proper etiquette to post the video of the fight(s) so we can all watch and remember then discuss.

Last night I was having a few wobbly pops and talking hockey with a buddy, we were talking about Jagr and ended up looking at his draft year to see who else was drafted in 1990 with him.

There in the list, #15 - Mark Greig, who did play for the Flyers near the end of his illustrious 125 game career, but not in the season of this fight. By that point he had already gone on to the prestigious Hamburg Freezers of the DEL.

For some reason this boxscore continually references him in place of Patrick Sharp.
I don't know the significance of this but I'm going to go withdraw all the money from my bank account and bury it in the woods behind my house

Nah that incident was with someone else. The Recchi incident was Recchi hooking him in the neutral zone and Havlat turn around and slashed him in the mouth. Then Hitchcock said something about someday someone will feed Havlat his lunch or something.

We were actually pretty badass back in the day. Teams were scared to come to Ottawa because not only would we score 6 against you, we'd beat you up. That last bit only came in the early to mid 2000's. Before that, we'd always get pushed around. The Philly incident really proved to the hockey world that we weren't marshmallows anymore.

Watching that video... feels good man.

lol @ Spezza.

I'm pretty sure Havlat had two different incidents where he tried to kick guys in the balls. Got suspended the second time due to being a repeat offender.
