I'm not gonna make the depth chart but i will say that team USA has the most talent available in decades.
Matthews, Kane, Kessel, Eichel, Jones, Gibson. Nice to see them have some elite talent that is worthy of team Canada's roster.

I like this a lot.. Just remember that Komarov has indicated that he won't play national team any more, so I'd move Lehkonen to the left wing on 4th line (he is LW normally anyways), and maybe squeeze in Tolvanen to 3rd line. He was our best F in last olympics at very young age, so why not keep him in the olympic roster (regardless of slowish start in NHL).

lol he's been in every lineup suggested in this thread.

He should definitely be in the mix playing with Tavares.

I forgot that Komarov retired. My new lines would be today:

Granlund-Barkov-Laine
Teräväinen-Aho-Rantanen
Filppula-Koivu-Donskoi
Lehkonen-Kotkaniemi-Kapanen

It's kind of fresh that Finalnd could line up 5/6 NHL capable lines nowadays. Before it was like 3 + Euro stars.
Out of lineup: Komarov (retired), Armia/Haula (injured), Puljujärvi, Salomäki, Tolvanen, Ma.Granlund, Hänniköinen, Lammikko

Also youngsters like Kuokkanen, Vesalainen, Mäenalanen, Borgström, Hintz who are playing AHL/KHL.

The omissions tell you far USA has come.

Yandle, Trocheck, Stepan, Oshie, Shattenkirk, Gostisbehere, E. Johnson, T. Johnson, Okposo, Galcehnyuk, Sheary, Fowler.

Solid, solid group of players that I would have a real hard time finding a spot for.

We're getting pretty close to the US having a watchable B team. (Still not as good as Canada whose B team is an A team)

Don’t see how you could leave TJ “Captain America” Oshie off the team. Have they changed the shoot-out rules?

Marner is definitely on Team Canada. So is Stamkos for his shot on the PP. Also, I would love to see MacKinnon and McDavid on the same line. They would be flying around the other team.

Its the Olympic tournament, not the NHL.

Last world cup showed, never put Laine&Barkov together
sh**** coach or not, that does not work.

Filppula, Koivu are not good enough anymore to play in a international tournament.
I wouldn't take Donskoi either, Määttä simply is just not good enough player.

Wouldn't select Rinne, the key is to win gold, not to suck and fall to the finish line.
If Raanta wouldn't be injured, i would of picked him over Koskinen.
- i picked Luukkonen for the experiences sake

Haula would of been one of my selections as well, if not injured.

Marchand Crosby Bergeron would probably be the 4th line

That is a NICE looking team. Not sure about Atkinson without Panarin, but nice group otherwise.

Canada is the strongest team but the Yanks, Finns, and Swedes look really good. Russia wouldn’t be an easy game either.

I wish we had NHLers last Olympics but hopefully they get this nonsense figured out and we have NHL participation for a best on best Olympics in 2022.

Then the world would see what Canada already knows, Nova Scotia is slowing taking over the world. First it was entertainment (The Trailer Park Boys), now it's sports. Once we figure out how to manufacture our highest tides into a weapon of mass destruction it will be all over but for the crying.
Lol we were due

Pretty Good. I'd probably replace Marner with Rob Zamuner though.

Subban has played sparingly in just TWO games for Canada in his career, and is now playing behind Ellis and 2 other guys in Nashville. If you are taking him on your team, it might be time to find interest in another sport. There isn't a coach out there that would want him on the B aquad

Well this is just wrong in so many ways. Who are the 16 defensemen on team A and B taken over him?
