There's zero room for the Oilers. They're done. Rest of the year is a developmental year. They had a slim window and have chosen to piss it away by losing 3 straight coming out of Christmas. So good job guys. You'll be golfing in April.

The defense on this team simply cant handle a hard forecheck. Chia missed this summer, using cap space on Russell instead of getting a competent 2nd pair RHD. Now with Benning regressing and us married to Russell we are fkd.

Ultimately the buck stops with McLellan. His assistants decide strategy for PK and PP but McLellan can overrule them. He doesn't.

That's not usually the case. The HC decides strategy/philosophy and the AC runs it. They work on it in practice and run the video sessions but it's usually (almost always) the HC's vision and strategy that they are running.
