Well, if an extension is in place, then the price is going to be way more than what the poster offered. Rattie and Rieder isn't even good enough for a rental Ferland, much less an extended Ferland.

LA says no to that deal too. With Doughty's deal kicking in next year LA cannot afford $6M Lucic plus he would need to be protected in Seattle expansion. First round picks are awesome but too much to pay.

I don’t think giving up a top 10, potentially 5 pick as a salary dump is fine value. It’s a significant overpayment.

The LA trade never happens because there is way too much variance of what that 1st round pick could become.

LA doesn't accept because if the pick ends up 10+, they are stuck with Lucic's contract without proper benefit.

Edmonton doesn't accept, because if the pick ends up in the top 5 or so, they just gave up a possible star just to dump Lucic.
