I'm fine with this but surprised at the excitement for the signing. He's been slowing down, only had 25 points last year. I'd prefer someone with more offensive potential but not a lot of risk with this signing and there's the German connection. Guess it's hard not to be disappointed after seeing some of the other big moves.

Would rather see Lucic - Brodziak - Strome and then Caggiula - Khaira - Kassian as forth line. I guess that all depends on how good Lucic wants to be this year.

Seriously tho, Rieder/Brodziak/Gravel is a nice bit of work. I love the message to the Yamamoto’s, Marody’s, and Benson’s of the world - get down to the Condors and put your hard hats on, you’re going to need to earn a roster spot.
