There was a fair bit of talk on the Oilers schedule last year and how it was quite tough

I though the previous year was favorable.

Maybe this year is going to help.

Where's the graph showing how long they spend traveling each season compared to the rest of the NHL?

I hate that "easy" determination based only on B2B. What about if a team has 4 days off and plays a B2B, but the other team played 1 game, 1 day off, B2B, 1 day off and then faces that team. They played 4 games in 6 days, the other guys are playing their 2nd in 6 days, yet the 4 in 6 team is labelled as getting the "easy" game.

2 seasons ago we had the play the 2nd most games of any team from oct to mid-Dec. Just behind the Jets. We played basically every 2nd day for 2 and a half months straight. The team was skipping practice because the players were exhausted. Yet, by these only B2B calculations, we were getting an "easy" schedule that year.

Haven't studied this coming season but from an eye test last year seemed much less favorable than the previous year.
