After seeing how bad Lucic is today against the Sens. It would cost a 1st rounder+ at a miminum for any team to even consider that contract.

how insane is Edmonton's management to think there are other insane GMs out there that think Pulju is worth adding dead weight Lucic for 4 years

Scenario: Pulju, RFA, signs a 2yr deal, becomes really good and scores 70pts a year (highly unlikely but let's say insane Edmonton is right) so X team re-signs him to a new contract, let's say $6m/year

so for the first two years, team X will pay Puljulucic $12m/yr until Lucic is off the books...

does this make sense for anyone?

also, what does it take to be committed in an insane asylum in Alberta? The laws seem pretty relaxed over there

of the players you mention, i am only seeing Lucic with a long term contract that is hurting...... in your opinion what do you consider long term contract-meaning in yrs ??
I shouldve also put clearing cap

But keith gretzky came out and said clearing cap and long term contracts and the only guy that has a long term that were trying to get rid of is Lucic

So in around about way he's saying Lucic

But for me a long term contract starts at 3 years left or term

Ouch, if you re read the trade Lucic wouldnt be going to the Kings full contract itll be on a $3.0 million AAV

There is going to be retention on any Lucic trade and probably bad contracts going back the other way

Lucic is a better fit on the Oilers. Big slow forwards fits his style of play.
