Looks like a GM will be here soon so it's that time of year again. Here are last years results.

Oiler UFA's and RFA's: Who do you keep?

Please no bashing or anything. Just wondering who everyone thinks is worth keeping and for how much.

Here's the gang:

RFA:

Tobias Reider: 2.0 mil QO
Ty Rattie: 840k QO
Jujhar Khaira: 743k QO
Jesse Puljujarvi: 972k QO

UFA:

Alex Chaisson: Made 650k
Alex Petrovic: Made 1.95 mil
Kevin Gravel: Made 700k
Anthony Stolarz: Made 760k
Al Montoya: Made 37k
Brad Malone: Made 650k

If Todd Nelson is Holland's pick as coach I got maybe some time for Puljujarvi. Kid may be dumb as bricks but even Yakupov seemed to gain some traction under Nelson.

I think honestly as sad as it is a 1B veteran goalie has to be priority no.1. You may have to look at a Mike Smith or Brian Elliot.

This team isn't good enough as is now to even have a prayer of doing anything without good goaltending.

Then move on to the AHL caliber winger group and see what can be done there.

I'd offer qualifying offers to Khaira and Pulju.

Chiasson I'd offer a contract similar to the one Maroon signed with the Blues this past season. 1 year at $2M tops.

I'd offer Rieder a 1 year 1M deal after not tendering a qualifying offer.

I'd sign Gravel and Malone to 2-way deals.

The rest can go.

Khaira and Puljujarvi only from RFAs. For UFAs Chiasson (would go as high as 3 mill) and Stolarz (need a goalie and I think he can rebound with first healthy summer in years).

JP and JJ are an easy yes.

I’d offer both Petrovic and Gravel the minimum and see who accepts it. If neither do it’s no real loss.

Offer Chiasson 1 year - 2 million.

I hope they can find a better backup than Stolarz.

Khaira, Puljujarvi, and Gravel. I would re-sign Rieder for cheap as well but after the whole Bobby Burgers situation I don't think that will be happening

What world do you think a guy who played NHL games this year would sign an AHL deal?

He doesn't belong in the NHL as evidence by this season and I don't want to waste a contract spot on him.

I did say if he would accept because I do understand he had a two way deal this year. Not sure what was hard to understand about my post.

I would keep Chiasson, Khaira, and Puljujarvi. Obviously try to trade Puljujarvi before he's completely into bust status. Maybe Reider if we can get him dirt cheap, not scoring a goal must not give you much to negotiate with lol.

Echoing others saying Puljujarvi and Khaira. I'd keep Gravel on with the same contract as 7th dman. Then with Chiasson giving him a contract of 1 yr for 2 million. If he wants more then let him work.

I didn't vote for him due to his QO but Rieder is someone that I would consider bringing him back. Scoring 0 goals is unlucky (but he was bad too) so he doesn't really have much negotiating power after that. I'd sign him to a 1 yr contract that can be buried in the minors seeing if he can bounce back which I think he can. He scored at least 12 goals in each of the previous seasons.

This looks good to me though I might offer Rattie a QO and I suspect that they will let Rieder walk. I'd do what you say though and try to get him signed for one year at a number that you can bury if need be.
