London graduates include:
Tommy Hughes and Tyler Ferry
Of the following players...3 are eligible to return as OverAgers.
Scott Harrington,Alex Broadhurst,Seth Griffith,Justin Sefton and Paxton Leroux. Of those 5 I would think Sefton,Leroux and Broadhurst come back.
The Knights could lose one of these 3 if chosen by the "right" team in the upcoming NHL draft.
Bo Horvat,Max Domi, Nikita Zadorov. I highly doubt any of them stick in the NHL..fans elsewhere would argue.
Subtract the 2 OA's plus Harrington and Griffith and London's team next year will be pretty much the same as this year..especially up front.

Niagara will be losing Ryan Strome, Brett Ritchie, Steven Shipley, Shayne Rover and Tyler Mort for sure.
I would also guess that Chris Festarini may start the season with the IceDogs but he'd be an OA goalie and with Brent Moran needing more games he'll probably be moved. I Would also guess that players like Trevor Petersen, Mike Robinson and Ryan Shipley will not be back so they can make room for a few of the younger players.

Saginaw brings back almost every player as all we lose are our 3 OA's: Shaw, Ross and Sutch
There is only one player that could play AHL next year and that is Eric Locke (assuming he is drafted this year, which he will in all likelyhood). Although I'd expect him to be back in the OHL next year.

Shipley seems to have been around forever.
Ritchie is awesome..I enjoyed him when i used to listen to the Sting games...I have a nice autograph that a kind Sting fan sent over for me.
Kingpin: how did you find Alexeev? I was really excited when he came over, but I gather he is much smaller than advertised?
Loved Ivan Telegin when he was at the Spirit btw.

For Belleville they have three overage 92s moving on ( Jake Cardwell, Joe Cramarossa and Stephen Silas), but the picture regarding their 93's is much less clear at this point. The following 93's were with the Bulls at the end of season:
F Michael Curtis - No NHL rights, but a smart player at both ends who seems to be a favourite of Burnett's, most likely to be back as an OA.
F Austen Brassard - Drafted by the Jets but still unsigned as of this point. A big body who can play physical and chip in offense, I expect him to sign an ELC and play in the AHL next season, whether it be with WPG or other.
F Alan Quine - Smart playmaker who's a great skater, I expect Detroit to sign their former 3rd rounder before he re-enters. If not, someone will either pick him late or sign him to an ELC. I don't expect to see him back.
F Tyler Graovac - Rangy offensive center who was a steal of a 7th rounder by the Wild. He is signed to an ELC and will likely start next season with Houston in the AHL.
F Scott Simmonds - An effective checker and penalty killer with limited offense, I expect Simmonds to return as an OA. He's the owner's son, but accepts his role as a checker and fills it well. Maybe he leaves for a Canadian University but he'll probably be back.
F Carter Sandlak - A big, physical winger who never really developed much of an offensive touch. He would be a decent OA as a checker but may be forced out by the numbers game. Could be dealt or perhaps he gets an AHL/ECHL look from someone.
D Jake Worrad - Along with Curtis I see Worrad as being one of the more definite OA candidates. His NHL rights are unowned and he will fill a big role as a puck-moving specialist and minute-muncher for a much younger blueline.
D Brady Austin - Tough one to make a call on. He was drafted as a 19 year old by the Sabres last year. He is AHL eligible but unsigned and still doesn't have a ton of experience playing D. I could see Buffalo deciding to send him back to play a ton of minutes back there for the Bulls this season as an OA.
G Malcolm Subban - AHL eligible and almost certain to begin next season in Providence.

Heusy, that is an awesome read, thank you so much.
Was a huge fan of Danny Zharkov, although I do get baffled when he goes in those long long slumps.

Johnny, to answer your question about Alexeev:
He is very small when you see him on the ice but I liked what I saw from him this past season. He didn't get alot of playing time (mostly fourth line time). But there were glimpses of him becoming a very good play maker. He's got good vision and good skating. Will be interesting to see what he does next season.

The Hounds are losing a few significant pieces to graduation. Here is the list:
Nick Cousins - Flyers draft pick - likely to start for the Phantoms in AHL next year
Ryan Sproul - Red Wings draft pick - likely to start in Grand Rapids of the AHL next year
Brandon Alderson - Flyers prospect
Colin Miller - Kings prospect
David Broll - Leafs prospect

Count me in that group. If Horvat goes to Columbus at 14, I say he sticks with the big club.
There's talk out here about the Oilers grabbing him, where if they trade Horcoff and don't resign Gagne, they may have ONE centre.

After Ben was given a head shot against Saginaw and was down and out for a few seconds on the ice with no teammates standing-up for him. I hope he moves onto the pros since he ALWAYS was there for his teammates under similar circumstances!

Wolves OA's are Kantor and Dodero, they are gone next year to the Rangers farm system.
They only have 3 players that would OAs next year Thibodeau, Raine and Palazzese. All three are probably back next year. So the Wolves aren't losing much.

Zharkov may just end up back in Belleville at some point this season. Alex Khoklachev made a similar move last year and ended up back in Windsor for the second half of the season. It will be interesting to see whether the Bulls hold an import card for Zharkov or if they release his rights.
Either way, I'd expect the Bulls to take a younger import forward this year (95-97 born). They are losing a ton of production up front and will need some offensive help.

Loosie: I am thinking positive things for the Wolves next year. Tried to listen to a few of their games, but oddly, they only broadcast road games via the teams internet radio station.
Like the combo of Kahun and Kubulik in their second year....

He has size and strength, but the best part of his game is his commitment to his teammates and the team. He's not an enforcer as such, but if someone cheapshots a linemate, you can be sure Ben is the first guy to step in. He protects the rookies as well. Not a superstar by any means, but the kind of player every team needs.
This is coming from someone who was NOT a fan in the last couple of years, but he completely won me over this season. If he were to return and Fanelli for some reason doesn't, he'd be my choice to wear the C. As it stands, I think the C belongs to Fanelli and if Thomson returns, he's guaranteed to wear an A.

If Schumacher is not signed by L.A. I can see him staying home and playing in Sweden, not much point in coming back for an OA year unless he really thinks he can earn a contract.
I disagree on Gaudet. He was very good for the Hounds in the playoffs and he should be back to center a shutdown line.
Fritsch should be back unless he wants to distance himself from the now dropped criminal charges. Wouldn't blame him if he didn't want the distraction in his OA year while trying to earn a contract.
