Is Plehanov playing?
I would think so... he played in the Russia/CHL series.

So he's probably healthy to play.

Neither of the Donati twins will be playing as they are no longer with the team and are awaiting a trade. And, no disrespect to Daniel, but the younger Torres isn't anything to watch out for. (unless you want to watch a goon who can't hit play 3-5 shifts)

Just caught the 2nd period, guys that caught my eye...

Cal Clutterbuck
- Good size
- Great passer
- Needs to get stronger, the Ottawa defensemen tossed him around a couple times
- Very good offensive skills

Lukas Kaspar
- Good skater
- Passes seemed to be perfect, very quick and right now target
- Good size, Marian Hossa-type build

Ryan Wilson
- Good size
- Big hitter

Alexei Ivanov
- Typical gifted European forward
- Similar style to Sergei Samsonov, not nearly as gifted

Haven't played so well...

Will Colbert
Justin Peters

Any comments on Petruzalek?
He had a great chance in the slot but Peters made a pad save... so far he's looking really good. I didn't see enough of him though, because I was paying more attention to Kaspar. They seem to play together a lot.

Very gifted small player.

I didn't mean talent... just thought some people would like to know Raffi's little brother was playing in the OHL. But his size is impressive... even if he has no talent.

What's with all the Oakville OHL boys demanding trades recently...

First Rob Hisey with Erie, being moved to Barrie, and now the Donati twins. Look out Kitchener, Evan Mcgrath is going to want a trade soon.

Just got home from the Ottawa-Toronto game. Pretty good game.

2 of Ottawa's goals were great passing plays. Kaspar's 2nd goal took an extra pass to finish since Petruzalek fumbled the puck on the original play. Still was composed enough to find the puck at his feet and pass it back to Kaspar.

BTW, these two always play together. They used to be centred by Peter Tsimikalis, but he's gone to Oshawa. They got Chris Hulit, a point-per-game player this season, who scored the OT winner. Petruzalek and Kaspar were playing with Bickell and Julian Talbot at different times today.

Ivanov's goal for the Majors was very nice. Still not sure how Wilson scored his goal. It looked like he got hit pretty good, then next thing you know he's dancing in on goal and scoring.

Attendance was over 8200 at the CC. I think they're expecting more when the next game is played at the Corel Centre at the end of the month.

Dev Heshmatpour was absolutely dreadful.

Nicholas Tuzzolino played well... Heshmatpour was probably Oshawa's worst defenseman.
