Interesting calls for Lewis to be gone when he had a great series.

I'm over Brown, Lucic, Schenn, McNabb, Lewis. Time to get some fresh blood in the lineup, and maybe some guys who can actually skate

Probably just the residual hate that's built up.

Maybe people felt like Lewis scoring on a short handed breakaway in a loss was trolling?

Yeah I'd rather they let Lucic walk and let the Canucks or some other team pay him more than they should.

Will sting knowing we gave up Jones for one season of Lucic but I don't think it'll be worth paying to keep him.

So Cal
Get rid some of the similar grinders on the bottom two lines: King, Nolan, Clifford, Andreoff, Lewis, Shore etc.

Out of all those players I hope we re-sign Lewis the most. He plays with heart and is by far the most versatile of the group.

Hopefully Vinnie changes his mind and decides to play another year.

Id retool the defense entirely.

Oh and let Lucic walk...brought nothing these playoffs, well besides stupid penalties.

Lucic can go. I was for the trade, and still for it. But wow, did he not show up for what Lombardi brought him in for.

It's not going to be what it was, no matter how much retooling Lombardi does. I'd rather see Brown stay if it means having to trade a young asset with him. If the Kings are just another team at this point, and with the last 2 years they may very well be, I don't even mind Brown's contract, or his 10 goals per year.

The Kings have to prove themselves again. I don't think they have the trust anymore. No more flip switching. No more it's just the regular season. No more watch out, here come the Kings. Once that balloon pops, I'm not sure you can re-inflate it.

You don't blow it up, the Kings core is still there, one a lot of teams would kill for, but a slight retool is necessary 100% IMO.

Just realize the game is evolving and adapt to your environment or you will fail. Which is exactly what management has done. They have failed to adapt. They draft big players with no skill who only grind and have grit. Its pathetic. Bring some speed and skill to the bottom 6 and get rid of the slow pylons.

Lombardi will have to work his magic on bringing in a top 4 D-Men. He gamble on bringing in Kings Type Winger in Lucic without addressing our biggest need and lost. I would love for Lucic to come back, but we have bigger holes to fill. Unless we trade Brown and Gaborik, Lucic is not coming back (which sucks of how many assets we lost in the trade, let alone Jones ended up in SJ). So who and how do we get a top 4 D-Men?

Need a top 4 dman. I'd keep Nabber and Schenn if he's cheap,

Id keep Schenn as a 6th dman. If he plays on the bottom pairing its ideal. But we do need a top 4 dman desperately and more speed and skill in our bottom 6. Not slow n pathetic King not hasbeen Brown not stone hands Lewis. Not smushed brain Clifford .
