The organization has a lot of growing up to do not only with player development, but also in terms of toning down the arrogance. obnoxiousness, and the "our shit don't stink" stuff that emanates from that team. Fans of a lot of teams just don't like them, and that dislike is becoming a hate.
Their social media crew is obnoxious as hell also. It wasn't enough to beat the Islanders again but they put something out there after the series was over to rub it in. Classless.

My simple observation looking back at series:
Coming out strong, and winning Games 1 and 2 at home, made so much of the difference

Games 3 and 4, and then games 5 and 6 were mirror images, in a way

Games 3 and 4, game tied very late,
NYR win game 3 early in OT, game 4 Car goes ahead with just a few minutes left before OT

Games 5 and 6, road team comes into 3rd period behind, puts up 4 goals to take the win

EVERY game is so important!
Come out strong against whichever carnivores NYR line up against

Anyone think Wheeler would be a good fit for the 4th line if Chytil doesn't play?
I'm guessing if Chytil plays Cuylle or Wennberg drop to the 4th line

Eh. I sympathize with this kid. This was me in 1992 when the piece of shit Penguins beat us on their way to a cup they didn't f***in' deserve.
I was a senior in COLLEGE, and I didn't go to class the next day (albeit it was an ice skating class where the guys were allowed to play hockey on one end of the rink, but there were three Pittsburgh fans in the class.)

This will be a meme for the next 30 years or so.

Brod and Vesey would be my scratches for the next round. Can make a case for any of Chytil, Rempe, Wheeler over those two. Brod should be no where near this series. Vesey has unfortunately cratered. I still think they will need Rempe at some point this series, but you can probably only play him at home with last change.

I feel like the Rangers have done what was required by advancing to the Final 4. They now have the legitimate best chance of any team to win the Cup. Anything can happen, but the Cup is there for the taking.

Legitimate best chance based on what? I think we are 3rd after Florida and Dallas in vegas odds...not that I give a crap about that. The sportsbook is offering me a couple times what I bet on NYR to cash in now...but I'm all in!

So I was a bit nervous before the game which quickly turned to annoyance. I had no intentions of turning it off but even after we made it 3-2 I was still thinking we might cough up another goal. So when all the good stuff was happening and we won I think I felt more relief than joy. But the joy slowly started making an appearance lol.

P.S. When we tied it I was like "we can make this a 5-3 final...get a goal then an empty netter since we're due for one of those."

I also struggle with how I go back and forth between believing we can win it all and cursing the Game 5 squad who make me doubt they know how to play and win at hockey.

Yea it was 3-1, not 5-1. I watch it on delay though so when I get frustrated I just start skipping a bit, especially NZ muck or the puck getting stuck in our D zone, and can watch an entire period of a blowout in 5 minutes if I want to.
I did think to myself, "well they came back from 3-1 in game 4 and almost had a chance to win it, tehy could come back here..."

After the 2nd goal I was feeling tired and super bummed so I went for a walk around my block to wake up. Saw on my phone that the Rangers got 1 back so I hurried back to the game and instantly saw the Aho goal. Got superstitious so I turned the game off and tried reading in bed while glancing at my phone. Resisted the urge to turn it back on after Kreids first goal. Saw he got another and tied the game and used all my restraint to not turn the game back on. After they went up 4-3 I raced to my PC and started watching again.

Obviously superstitions aren’t real and I’m an idiot, but I have zero regrets missing the hat trick. I literally NEVER turn a game off just because they are losing. I always go down with the ship, but last night I was compelled and I’m just happy they got the win. I look forward to rewatching it though!
I have a recliner that I sit in to watch TV. During Game 1, I was up and down the whole first period doing dinner, that I never reclined. Game 2, I was reclined when the jerks tied the game late. I immediately stopped reclining. I didn't recline for the rest of the series.

After Kreider scored his hat trick, my daughter got up to get a hat to toss. Both me and my wife told her not to leave the room and immediately sit back down in the same position she was seated in. My wife had to get ready to leave for work but did not move until the Goodrow empty net goal.

Glad the Martinook play will now never be remembered lol
I think it still will be. Great effort, amazing how it looked like it was finally going to stop, just beyond the line had he not saved it. I think I have only seen one goal that rested about an inch past the line. Dont ask what game, lol. I can only remember last nights game. haha

I'm still coming down from the emotional rollercoaster and adrenaline rush from that 3rd period, but that win is going to be seared into my memory forever. I loved the jump in their skates from the opening faceoff and thought they deserved a lot better than how that first period went. They controlled the pace of play nearly all period but were having a tough time with the puck bouncing everywhere on them.

It shows a lot about the mental makeup of this team for not collapsing after going down 3-1. Rest up, get a bit healthier, and carry that momentum into the next round.

The jump in their skates that yielded 3 shots in the 1st period?

The players involved in Kreider's three goals were all the ones we shitted on:

Goal 1: Zib throws it at Andersen's leaky left side. He leaves a rebound and Kreider tucks it in
Goal 2: Panarin tees one up for the deflection. His second deflection helper after Trocheck's Goal
Goal 3: Roslovic and Lindgren crisscross on the cycle with Lindgren wrapping a centering pass to Kreider for the tap-in

Amazing
Especially Lindgren. Theyve been pissing on him, I thought he's played more than admirably. He IS, WHO he is.

Does anybody think that that puck might not go ion if Chris tries to FORCE the puck in, as opposed to ramping it up from his blade with backhand? I think he needed that little bit of lift. What do you guys think, or am I crazy?

if he does force it possibly it knocks anderson’s skate and the puck with it. it’s hard to say how well he was holding the post

Third goal kind of illustrates how Kreider is so good in front of the net. He's not trying to body Chatfield out of the way, he's not trying to just take up space and hope something bounces off of him, instead he skates in front of the net and briefly engages Chatfield, then disengages but spins around him to the other side and sets up with his stick on the ice. Makes it really hard for Chatfield to tie him or his stick up in the split second it takes for all that to happen. One moment Kreider is jostling with him, the next Kreider has released and spun around to Chatfield's other side and then the puck is there and in the net. Just superb net front work

Watching the full game on the MSG replay (nearly the end of the 3rd, now). Kind of wild just how much the team changed about midway or so through the 2nd period. It's like a switch started to come on or something.

And Kreider's dominance in the 3rd period was just something to behold. Incredible work by him.

I've never seen him more locked in than that.
