In his major league career, Stanton would post a 68–63 record with a 3.92 ERA and 84 saves in 1178 games pitched which ranks him second all-time in appearances behind Jesse Orosco (1252).
Despite being a set-up man, Stanton chose to come out of the bullpen to an entrance song like many Major League closers do. Stanton usually entered to Aldo Nova's "Fantasy". With the New York Mets however, he came in to Metallica's "Enter Sandman" during save situations as a tribute to Mariano Rivera, whom he set up for in his Yankees years.[6]

However, his career was derailed by problems with drug and alcohol abuse. He was suspended a number of times by Major League Baseball for drug-policy violations, but several times returned to show flashes of his former brilliance.

Regarded as one of the best defensive third basemen ever, and of of the, if not the, best third basemen in Negro League history. He could reportedly play SS, 2B and OF too. Dandridge was also a great hitter; though he did not have much power, he regularly put the ball in play with a high batting average. Though 36 years old, he won the American Association MVP after hitting .311 with 195 hits, 80 RBI, and 106 runs scored. We are happy to have Ray come off the bench for our team.

9 years in, and still active, with an outstanding numbers on his resume. Including very good post season numbers. Look at his numbers below.
Romo will add to the diversity of the pitching staff. With the power arms staff that is our starting staff, the pen will offer some change of pace to the fireballers. Different arms slots in O'Day and Romo, and varied pitch speed as well.
With a low-three quarters delivery Romo features three pitches: a slider that sits 75-79 mph which he uses against right handed batters, a two seam fastball sitting 88-90, and a change up which he uses against left handed hitters, sitting 80-83.
High K rate of 10.9 and super low walk rate of 1.8. There may be more, but the only RP in this year's ATD, that I can recall, that has a better K to walk ratio than Romo, is Koji Uehara.
