CALGARY -- Canada will begin its quest for gold at the 2012 world junior hockey championship in a group with the rival Americans that will play out of Edmonton.

Group B Canada, USA, Finland, the Czech Republic and Denmark

Group A Russia Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia and Latvia.

The funny thing is winning gold you get the weaker pool how ever next year you could say pool a is going to be the harder pool.

Meh, I want Finland in our pool. On paper it's a better group for us though, but it's the semi that counts anyway.
