I've finally figured it out.... Vegas is Homer Simpson.... the rest of the NHL is Frank Grimes....

Possible off season moves. Includes Hill; concern is lack of long term NHL experience.
We can't afford Hill as a backup to Thompson unless almost nobody else will offer him, which is highly unlikely.

People were posting some tweet on reddit last night from a guy I've never heard of saying Thompson is open to a trade to any playoff contender. I'd imagine the goalie rotation next year would be similar to how it was this year so this rumor really concerns me. They can afford to pay Hill 4.9 for two years because the assumed 1A starter Thompson makes nothing. Hill has never played more than 27 games and Thompson is coming off his own injury troubles.

Not going to lose any sleep over it. Thompson's injury and the uncertainty that follows makes him a discount for a seller and a bargain for a buyer, so the time is not right to trade him, and his salary is so low that he's not eating up a huge bite of the cap space unlike Patches before they dumped him on the Canes.

IMHO, the guy they are most likely to trade is Marchy since they could get a huge premium for the Conn Smythe winner and at the same time replace a player who is aging out of his prime and has been increasingly streaky. Yeah, that would be viscerally brutal to immediately deal the CS winner, but the math doesn't lie, and they have to trade him this season if they are to get anything at all for him.
