Good for Arizona, it would be a shame if they lost him
Hopefully they start winning more with that young core

Damnit had him in a keeper for 8 years now was hoping he would go somewhere high scoring.
Arizona has a bunch of young offensive players that are poised to break out so there's a chance he can still produce a lot from the backend.

Ive been hoping for this for a while. Ive now shifted into the ill believe it when i see it group.

Doughty and Kalrsson cant be happy about this deal.

Good for OEL though for not gouging the organization and this will certainly help make them competitive.

They should be quite happy I think. This means they will target like 11 million or so in their next deal. It remains to be seen whether they get that figure or not though.

OK... now that you have your defenseman locked up, lets work a deal to swap the 3rd OA for the 5th OA. The deal is you take Zadina who is very close to NHL ready and the Habs get a 2019 2nd round pick.

8x8 for OEL is a great deal for the Coyotes!

Wonder if arizona will make a run at karlsson. Would be an interesting pitch to both oel and karl

One of the few teams that have the pieces and cap space to make it work

I'd almost say it looks cheap. Think 9-10 should be his range.

That would make him the most expensive dman in the league. 8m merely makes him tied 2nd with Burns.

Good deal for Arizona, but cheap it isn't.

Wasn't the price "8+", or am I just wrong?
8+ essentially means it'll fall in between 8-8.9

Subban makes 9M on an RFA signed deal.

Doughtys already saying he's going to be signing in the double digits.

A UFA deal should probably have gotten OEL 9M.

If it should, that represents a substantial rise in what dmen get paid, because OEL hasn't done what someone like Doughty has done.

I wonder if they will be players in free agency.

Staying I’m assuming he wanted to see the team start to win.

They have two good goalies no IMO so if one goes down their year isn’t down the tubes.

Their defense is pretty much set, so I could see maybe the rumors true about Domi on the block and stuff. Try to see about upgrading the top 6.

Neal / Statsny / Perron / Bozak / Van Riemsdyk - in no particular order.

The backend and net are done, add the right forwards and it could be a huge step forward.
