A little help, if someone is interested to make a full list (dont have time and patience for this).
Players, that scored at least 2 SHG in one game: Link

To see, who did it in one penalty, you must browse all games.

Tom Fitzgerald scored 2 shorthanded goals on the same penalty- 2nd rd '93 playoffs NYI vs PIT. 17 seconds left in the 2nd period and 25 seconds into the 3rd.
Pens defenseman Mike Ramsey was clipped with a high stick and Claude Loiselle was sent to the box. The thing is, it wasn't Loiselle that was the offender... it was Fitzgerald's stick that hit Ramsey.

Interesting. One that struck me was Dave Keon, who scored 2 shorthanded goals in a game twice (though none on the same penalty, so not really relevant to the above question). What's odd is that Keon's two occasions were separated by 5 days, both occurring in late 1970.

Saw this thread had been bumped and was hoping this was why.

Seriously, this is one of the strangest sports trivia moments ever.

7 years have gone by since Sidney Crosby had his last 5 points game (November 8th 2014).

Pretty insane for a player of this caliber.

When you think that Mario Lemieux and Gretzky were still notching 5 points games even in their last season in the league at 40 and 38 y/o respectively.

That's especially crazy when you consider how well his career played out post-2014. Three top-3 scoring finishes, three times finishing 2nd for the Hart, four top-five PPG finishes is really great for the late-20s, early-30s stage of a career.

Single-season short-handed goals leaders are almost always forwards, going back to at least the 1940s (a couple of those 1940s seasons saw multiple players tie with 1 or 2 SH goals, with a defenseman among them), except for 1985-86.

In '85'-'86, not only was a defenseman in first (Paul Coffey, 9), but in the second slot as well (Mark Howe, 7). Very rare and maybe without precedent.

Remember watching that. You see that happen to an underdog in a series...that really got me thinking the Islanders are destined to upset them

What is the record for most goals in one Powerplay? Team and single player.

Do not know but one would be tempted to guess the 50s Habs (A Richard/Beliveau/Geoffrion), considering that rules was changed for them. And the answer to be interesting need to be above 2, so I would guess 3 or 4.

But I imagine that the real answer is not from them and more surprising.

Record for goals on one power play is 4 goals (5 minute penalty). January 7, 2011 by Toronto against Atlanta, February 9, 2018 by the Islanders against the Red Wings, and by the Sharks against Vegas.

Camille Henry (3/13/54 vs. Detroit), Boom Boom Geoffrion (2/19/55 vs. NYR) [technically achieved it twice in this game as Rangers had a 5 on 3 kill], Dave Andreychuk (3/19/92 vs. LA [double minor PP]) all scored twice on one power play. There may be more players with this record who scored two or three power play goals in a game, but I didn’t look through everything. I only looked at players who scored 4 power play goals in a game.

The Coyotes traded for Wedgewood in 2017. They sent a fifth rounder to New Jersey.

Geoffrion here
New York Rangers - Montréal Canadiens - February 19th, 1955

Has 3 PP goals in less than 2 minutes
19:01 second period;41 third, 0:55 third

Habs scored 2 in 30 second during the first period has well, we can see the rules change coming up.

Not sure if the 3 goals were on the same exact pp or 2 really close to each others.

One was a PP goal, second was during a 5 on 3, third one was was a regular PP goal.

The record I’ve found is 2 goals on one power play. Some of those instances there was some 5 on 3 time, but I consider each of those penalties as their own separate power play, even if they overlap.

The Canucks once scored two penalty shot goals in one period against Detroit in the Mid 80’s

Here's a set of weird and trivial stats.

Daymond Langkow and Kristian Huselius played in Calgary together for 3 seasons.

2005-06
Langkow posted 0.72 PPG
Huselius posted 0.72 PPG after being acquired by Calgary.

2006-07
Langkow posted 0.95 PPG
Huselius posted 0.95 PPG

2007-08
Langkow posted 0.81 PPG
Huselius posted 0.81 PPG

Langkow scored 201 points and Huselius scored 182 points. They only collaborated on 62 goals together, which means that they played together, but they weren't tied to each other such that they should have the exact same PPG three seasons in a row.

Phil Esposito basically scored a goal while his team was assessed a delayed penalty. Jim McKenny was stick handling in front of his own net (as was his propensity). Esposito wracked his stick and it propelled the disk into the yawning empty cage as the goalie had left to the bench for an extra skater.

I have always wondered what happens in this case.

Now I know!

But then, the question is: How could Esposito have "scored" the goal if his touching the puck necessitated a stoppage in play?

I wonder who got credited. Probably the last Bruin to touch the puck before the arm went up. It would be funny if ended up being Esposito. One would have to go back and find the box score. Boston at Toronto probably around 1973-1974 not sure though.

During WW2 years Rangers were in real trouble finding players, but this was rather obscure. Rangers had 14-year old goalie Ladislav "Laddie" Simkan in their training camp.

Calgary Herald 19. Oct 1943
Lester Patrick doesn´t believe all he hears about infants playing in the N.H.L. this season. He has sent Ladislav Simkanin 14-year old Fort William prospect, back home after four days in the Rangers training camp at Winnipeg. Patrick considered him too young even for the Rangers farm club the amateur rovers.

Strange he was a decent enough prospect to get the call to a training camp at 14 and yet there's no record of him ever playing pro hockey when he got older.
