are you advocating for teams to shaft their fanbase that badly? Why?
Do MLB teams have to spend a minimum each season on salaries?
Oakland isn't going to be competitive next season, so why not just pay someone the league minimum, and save your owner 6 million or so?
it's not like the A's have to worry about how much money they're spendingWhy?

There was just a lockout over the owners cheaping out on players that almost derailed the start of the season, you need to atleast pretend you're trying to compete.
Diaz has an OPS+ of 46, and is a -1 WAR player so far this seasonit's not like the A's have to worry about how much money they're spending
7 mil a year is higher than expected for the A's to give out, but this is your typical A's signing who they'll most likely trade at the deadline
In a vacuum? Sure?Diaz has an OPS+ of 46, and is a -1 WAR player so far this season
Can we agree I was right about this signing, and it was just a complete and utter waste of money?
