I think Wilson showed up a couple times to Spring Training before for the Rangers. Aside from the easy PR stories/photo opps, I think they liked having him talk to some of the prospects to let them know the level of commitment needed to succeed.

This also reminded me about the Padres spending a draft pick on Johnny Manziel.
