Do they really need him?

They have Judge and Stanton and most of the problems related to Yanks are not HR related and hitting HR's is essentially the only thing Gallo does well

He certainly cant play CF which would be spot that actual upgrade would make sense

Lmao.

A lineup full of club swinging Neanderthals that can only hit home runs and nothing else needs some type of shot in the arm.

So they go out and get another club swinging Neanderthal who can only hit home runs.

Yep that'll fix the problem for sure. Look the f*** out third place, here comes the Yankees!

The Texas Rangers will receive RHP Glenn Otto, 2B Ezequiel Duran, SS Josh Smith and 2B/OF Trevor Hauver as part of the package from the New York Yankees in the Joey Gallo trade, sources tell ESPN.

Rangers are getting massive haul of prospects in this deal. Others involved, too.

Highest walk rate in baseball this season.

You are right that they don't need him.

Cashman has lost the plot. Another homerun or nothing guy added to the pile of homerun or nothing guys that they have already. Dumb

2B Ezequiel Duran (Yanks #15)
OF Everson Pereira (Yanks #17)
2B/OF Trevor Hauver (Yanks #23)
RHP Glenn Otto (Yanks #28)

Not sure playing Judge in CF is a great idea, but that is what they are going to do.

This is such a Yankees move of the past two decades.

The trade and impending starting lineup will be hyped up to no end. Only to come up short in the playoffs.

Oh come on! What is this indignation!!

Greg Allen gets on da base. Then Judge, Stanton, or Gallo do the Neanderthal and drive Allen in. What's not to like?!

That's really the only saving grace. Gallo gets on base a shit ton and is basically the epitome of a three outcome player but this does jackshit to fix the Yankees as a whole.

Good glove.

I think LeMahieu, Gallo, Judge is a top of the order in the game.

The only way to fix them is to load up on pitching. Taillon has been excellent lately but outside of him and Cole I don't trust anyone else in that rotation. Don't even have full trust in Taillon.
