THE RULES

WHO IS A PROSPECT: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/whatmakesaprospect

HOW TO RANK PROSPECTS: Based on their value in a hypothetical trade or waiver draft. This takes into consideration a prospect's ceiling, how close he's to making it, his health, work ethic, the whole deal. Imagine there was a prospect waiver draft and you could keep only one prospect. That guy is our #1 prospect. Then imagine we had one more waiver protection. That guy is our #2 prospect.

Gotta go with Bourque. Say what you will, but he's a top-6 AHLer who just turned 24. He has another year or two when he can take the necessary step to crack the NHL.

Add Kantor because McCarthy is 24 years old at the end of the season and Missiaen is almost 25, and yet both are still in the ECHL.

Nanne, add Kantor.

I still have some hope that Kantor can be a 4th line plug at some point. I though he looked pretty good 2 training camps ago. He's had some injuries since then, but maybe he makes something of himself at some point.

Wasn't everyone shocked Nanne got drafted? That was the report. And now he's gone cold in a lower league. Don't have much hope for him to play even at the AHL level.

No.

Draft Prediction: Nanne should go somewhere toward the bottom of the 4th round or top of the 5th round. I can't see NHL teams letting a potentially exceptional offensive defenseman drop that far.

If a team really likes him, there's a possibility he could go as early as the third round, though that's likely optimistic. Somewhere in rounds four through six seems the most likely possibility.

118th among NA skaters. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=712854

He was drafted where he should have been. His year has hardly been exceptional, but he's young and really raw. Every scouting report out there gushes about his tools and his potential. Let's see what he does in the NCAA next year.

Fair enough, but I did see a story that people around his team were stunned that he got drafted.

Nicholls. Guy can score. Hope he can put it together and be a regular for the Pack next year.
