THE RULES

WHO IS A PROSPECT: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/whatmakesaprospect

HOW TO RANK PROSPECTS: Based on their value in a hypothetical trade or waiver draft. This takes into consideration a prospect's ceiling, how close he's to making it, his health, work ethic, the whole deal. Imagine there was a prospect waiver draft and you could keep only one prospect. That guy is our #1 prospect. Then imagine we had one more waiver protection. That guy is our #2 prospect.

Voted for Andersson because he is only 20 years old, plays in an adult league and has gotten better this year.

Add Kantor because it's easiest for goons to make the NHL and he's already an AHLer (though an injured one).

Calle, add Nicholls. If Kantor's mystery injury is another season long concussion, it's most likely he's finished. Too bad every Pack injury is even more top secret than the big club.

McCarthy is older than Kantor. Kantor played in the AHL last year and McCarthy couldn't even make it this year. Not sure how he's better.

Coin flip. Neither will have future with us.

Personally I'd take McCarthy over Kantor. Problem for me with Kantor is he was out injured most of last year and I'm not sure what's going on this year. He's played one game for Hartford and two for Greenville. Three games this year altogether and I'm not even sure if either Hartford or Greenville are carrying him on their roster. So where the **** is he? Beyond that there's very little skill going on with him--just a lot of grit. You're not going to develop at all if you don't play. This is his second year of his ELC and in 2 years he's played a total of 28 AHL games with 0 points and 127 penalty minutes and 5 ECHL games with 1 goal 4 assists and 12 penalty minutes. That's 33 games played in two years.

For this reason, Andy just over Donnay
