THE RULES

WHO IS A PROSPECT: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/whatmakesaprospect

HOW TO RANK PROSPECTS: Based on their value in a hypothetical trade or waiver draft. This takes into consideration a prospect's ceiling, how close he's to making it, his health, work ethic, the whole deal. Imagine there was a prospect waiver draft and you could keep only one prospect. That guy is our #1 prospect. Then imagine we had one more waiver protection. That guy is our #2 prospect.

Going with Mantha again. Not sure how anyone on board is more valuable than a recent 4th rounder.

Add Bourque because he's still young enough to take that extra step to go from a good AHLer to a bottom-6 NHLer.

Mantha got 7 assists in January and now has 3 goals and an assist in February. He's been hot since the start of the year (for a big defensive defenseman).

To keep it in perspective, fellow 3rd rounder Dominic Turgeon only has 11 more points than Iverson on the same team and doesn't bring the same game Iverson does.

I voted for Mantha... size, upside & youth. I do like Donnay & Andersson better than the last few names on the list.

Add Bourque.

I mean, the recent 3rd rounder > the recent 4th rounder?

Except Iverson seems to be having a very poor season. Mantha is doing ok: started a bit slow, got better, has been hot since the beginning of 2015.

Also, 11/12 more points in midseason is quiet a bit. You look for a prospect to improve every season, even every month. Improvement is more important than most other qualities (see: Talbot vs McColgan). Ivy just hasn't shown much of it this year. And it's not as if he's in college playing against mature opposition. He's in the juniors and should be doing very well right now if he wants to make the NHL.

He has certainly stepped his game up/settled in over the past few weeks. You have me sold.

And yes, add Bourque.

I can jump on the Mantha train. Was going Iverson but can't argue numbers. Add Nicholls.

He's really not having a poor season. He's just buried on an absolutely stacked team. That team is just unbelievable. Having actually seen him play and not relying on stats, he's not been bad like the stat line suggests.

Iverson, more hunch than anything
Gotta add Bourque by now, has as good a chance to play 100 NHL games as any of the guys left

Would be nice if we got at least 20 votes in the 24hour voting window.
