Jon Niese walking across a burned bridge to return to NYC.

There is hope for me after all to return to all the jobs I've left on bad terms.

That Niese Met bashing on the way out is even more hilarious now. I'm glad the Mets got out of Bastardo's contract though. He has been dreadful.

Bastardo is owed $12M over the next 2 years? Did I read this right? How the hell did he get that contract?

That Bastardo contract was pretty bad. He was solid in Pittsburgh last year, but I wouldn't have given him more than $5 million for one year.

Niese was useless. There wasn't even anything that looked like it could be salvaged, he just looked like a bad pitcher in Pittsburgh. Bah.

Walker would have been gone for nothing at the end of this season anyway (too risky to give him a QO), but...yeah, that trade didn't work out as well as hoped. Walker broke out and Niese fell down a flight of stairs.
