That Bastardo contract was pretty bad. He was solid in Pittsburgh last year, but I wouldn't have given him more than $5 million for one year.

Niese was useless. There wasn't even anything that looked like it could be salvaged, he just looked like a bad pitcher in Pittsburgh. Bah.

Walker would have been gone for nothing at the end of this season anyway (too risky to give him a QO), but...yeah, that trade didn't work out as well as hoped. Walker broke out and Niese fell down a flight of stairs.

I'd consider starting him over Verrett, or switch them around.

Going to be nice for them when they get Wheeler back, 6 starters ready to go.
