That’s his upside?
What do you expect out of an undrafted player? He’s a very good defender but there is a reason the best undrafted players to ever come out of college are Cris Tanev, Tory Krug, Tyler Bozack, Nate Schmit.

Undrafted college Fa are overrated. You’re not going to get a game changer.

You could get a solid depth piece. but to expect anything more is too hopeful

Just seen people talking very highly of him would think his upside would be closer to Tanev and not Holl.

Steal of a deal, he should fire his agent
He was restricted to a 1 year ELC. $950k is the most he could have had in raw salary+performance bonus+signing bonus.
He actually did get a steal of a deal by getting not only getting exactly that ($830k salary, $95k signing bonus, and $25k in potential performance bonus), but he also got Nashville to burn his first (and only) year of his ELC by starting it this year, meaning he can sign a new deal immediately this offseason without the $950k upper limit (EDIT: or an optimized two-way deal, as StreetHawk pointed out)

From a contractual standpoint, the team got the opposite of a steal, giving him everything he possibly wanted and could have.

Canucks did the same thing with Josh Teves. He was old enough to only have to do a 1 year ELC which he burned the season he signed. Able to parlay that into a 2 year deal at $700K per season. So, he got paid in fully in the A.

Would expect something similar for Livingstone.

Adam Oates, (you know the centre who had 1,420 points 1,337 games), says hi!

Are their bonuses that make the AAV so much more higher?

Yep. A multiplier equal to the ratio of total days in the season to remaining days to the season is applied to the bonus. That is added to the base salary to get the AAV.

Does the player receive those actually dollars at all or just the salary
