I agree entirely...

and the mis trust is there because the players escalated the salaries to the point of ruining the finances of the NHL under the last CBA.

To what tune you ask? Well the players agree they at least make 24% more then they should. Personally, I'd take that to mean that at -24% the players would be making all the profit and the owners none.

No Richie rich... thats owners gain ~200 million and change. You see gross income is a little different then profits or losses.
