But they may also want to wait in 2020 to see if they get compliance buyouts from the CBA negociation/lockdown.

At 50/50 of revenues, the battle for the next CBA will not be over revenues, so it's unlikely that there will be compliance buyouts.

The silver lining is, in my educated guess, that the battle will be over garanteed contracts and because of this, we'll have more leeway on contracts for guys like Alzner.
