why? they still have one year of control and then guys they dont need fall off to have more cap room for Bratt.Only one? Ouch...
And I guess they get to see another year of production. This wasn’t my preferred outcome, but there is an avenue for a long-term deal I suppose.why? they still have one year of control and then guys they dont need fall off to have more cap room for Bratt.
Lol didn’t he ask for 6-ish? They split the difference, he hardly lost. whats your problem? That's rotten for Bratt. Smfh. Can't wait for him to get paid what he's worth on a different team. Ridiculous.
He's worth atleast 7 if not 8Lol didn’t he ask for 6-ish? They split the difference, he hardly lost. whats your problem?
If he's as good as you say he'll have no problem replicating this past season and getting that contract next summer. He's worth atleast 7 if not 8
Apparently not! He's worth atleast 7 if not 8
Ah. For some reason I thought this was walking him straight to UFA. Mea culpa.why? they still have one year of control and then guys they dont need fall off to have more cap room for Bratt.
Let's see if last year was a fluke or if he is the real deal. Decent deal.
I think it’s smart. Like others said he is still RFA next summer this way.
Other things to consider:
1. I don’t think he can keep up this production. So they may be able to sign him long-term to a more reasonable deal next summer
2. They still need to resign Wood and NJ doesn’t have a lot of cap left now.
He is going to get it next year if he is. This isn't a big deal. Not compared to Labanc getting a 1,5 mil bridge or Norris-winning Subban 2,75. Let's not act like this is some kind of robbery here. He's worth atleast 7 if not 8
His agent didn’t even ask for that much in arbitration…..He's worth atleast 7 if not 8
