Gardiner is from NJ?

Don't see MN moving Brodin till they know that Suter's foot is healing well... having Nick Seeler as your #1 LHD is not a place you want to be.

I also don't see Zacha, or the 17oa, being pieces that will tempt MN.
It's the Garden State, he must be.

Jay Bouwmeester will be coming back from hip surgery, headed into a contract year--and every indication is that he's ready to prove something. He's steady and gobbles minutes. What would you offer for him, assuming he'd waive trade protections to come to you?

Gardiner is from there, he put up 50 points. Outside of game 7, he is an amazing player. Yes he has some bad mistakes but anyone who watches him knows for every one of those he makes 10 amazing plays. IMO Toronto should hang onto him, BUT if they sign Tavares and know they can't afford to keep him, maybe Dubas looks to get SOMETHHING for him IF they think Dermott is ready for 2nd pairing minutes.

Not sure if there is a value that can satisfy both sides though.
game 7 was not in gardiner like some believe. He had some bonehead plays.
Aside from that, he is far from an amazing player. I have zero interest in gardiner
