So every other Swedish players were HORRID !

Every other Swedish player was not as hyped, allegedly as talented, 19 years old & a first round draft pick .
Furthurmore Bud, the guy didnt ask about every other Swedish player, he asked about Nillson.

If Nilsson had been compared to Nylander from the get-go, he probably wouldn't have gotten all the attention he received his draft year. Whenever the name "Forsberg" is thrown around in comparing players, images of a warrior come to mind. A player who will put up with tremendous amounts of pain just to dominate a hockey game. That's certainly not the same image as the one you get when thinking about Michael Nylander's game. Nylander brings an image of a great peripheral player with outstanding skills, but who's game is clearly more suited to the European ice.

I think the isles are expecting Colliton,Nokelainan and Bergenheim to bring leadership and intangibles, while Nilsson brings outstanding skill/offense.

Milbury's post- 2005 WJHC comments:
http://www.newyorkislanders.com/pressbox/archive.asp?id=279

On Nilsson: "Easily one of the five most talented players in the tournament," said Milbury of the Swedish forward.

On Nokelainen: " We love the way he plays, the way he works."

On Colliton: "And you have to look at how much he's accomplished since our scouts went to bat for him. We're looking forward to him becoming a pro."

Nilsson beat Markus Naslund's Swedish Elite League record for points by an 18-year-old in his draft year. The kid is a little like Robbie Schremp: has game-breaker potential, but has an attitude problem and he lacks consistency. If he gets his head on straight, then he could put up a lot of points. If he doesn't, then Milbury will regret this pick for years to come, because the Islanders will be one of a few teams without an impact forward from the 2003 draft.

If any player was drafted because of his last name, it was Kyle Chipchura. Damn, that's fun to say. I guess he's a really good hocey player, too. ;)
