I'm interested to know how the kid is doing so far in Blainville. I didn't know much about him coming to this season but it looks like he's doing quite well in the QMJHL this season. Big kid, 6'4 216 per eliteprospects from Latvia.

I too saw him play this week. I would categorize him as a 'project'. He's very lanky, seems to have a lot of upside, but is extremely raw. He fell down once in awkward fashion, with nobody around him. But he also had a huge hit in the game that got him noticed for sure.

He has good wheels, pretty good mobility overall. He played on the right side (as a lefty shot), and didn't look out of place there.

I don't think his offensive upside is very high, personally, but he seems like a shutdown guy down the road. An NHL comparable? Maybe Jonathan Ericsson?

He's definitely worth keeping an eye on, imo.
