I didn't get to see any of the games, and from the scoresheets it looks like both goalies were outstanding (and change a very few things here and there, and this series is 3-0 CHI going into last night's game) ... but did anyone who got to see the games come away with the impression that in the last analysis Niittymaki flat-out beat Lehtonen?

Game 1: Niittymaki 27/27, Lehtonen 31/32 (1 PP G)
Game 2: Niittymaki 48/49 (1 PP G), Lehtonen 26/28 (1 PP G)
Game 3: Niittymaki 29/30 (1 PP G), Lehtonen 22/24 (2 PP G)
Game 4: Niittymaki 28/30 (1 PP G), Lehtonen 25/29 (1 PP G)

I saw game 2 and attended games 3 & 4.

In all three games Niittymaki was the better goalie. Lehtonen was good, none of the goals he gave up would be considered soft, but Niittymaki was better.

Lehtonen faced a more potent offense.
