I see that the NHL has just allowed the max curve of the stick blade to be 3/4" instead of the 1/2". What benefit or disadvantage can this cause for shooters? Possible impact to goalies facing these shot?
Being a goalie and never even owned an out players stick I have no idea what teh impact of the change can have for shooters. That is the info I would like to hear about from a shooters perspective.
well it means my curve is now legal.
for me a bigger curve makes it easier to lift shots especially in close. I would expect that goalies will be seeing more shots up high.
I was thinking that most curves you can buy seem to be illegal..never measured them but supposedly if you can roll a dime under the curve then it might be pushing the limits...I know I can do that with my sticks.
