Lol, Wedgewood is another in the long line of Canadian WJC goalies who goes onto a thoroughly unremarkable career. Right behind Zach Fucale, Justin Pogge, Jeff Glass, whichever Pickard it was, I can't remember, Mark Visentin (who was Wedgewood's teammate), and a bunch of other guys who sucked enough for me to not remember their names anymore.

Calvin Pickard?

I went and looked. It was Chet. Calvin never played at the WJCs. Chet got into 2 games in the 2009 tourney and posted a 0.50 GAA and .958 sv%. And he was a 1st round pick the year before.

I guess I should've known since Calvin at least has something resembling a career anymore. Chet bounced around the ECHL, Allsvenskan and Danish league before finding his footing as an acceptably OK goalie for Iserlohn and Mannheim in the DEL

Bob McK tweeted this morning that things are happening, but slowly. Ship has to repay pro-rated signing bonus before unconditional waivers (for mutual termination of contract). So, this will hang on for a bit.
