These polls are super difficult. A lot of these players can be the best at their full potential. I thought Kuznetsov was easily the best center in the entire 2018 playoffs when they won the cup. I also thought Brayden Point was a workhorse and played way better than Matthews, Kucherov, and Draisaitl during the covid cup. I think the best thing to do is go off recency bias, so Zibanejad has my vote. The guy murdered the league last year.

The only thing with Stamkos is his injury history. I am not even sure how many games he will play this season.

I would say his playoffs are a negative as well. Though not really in comparison to Marner where most of the alternative votes seem to be going.

September there was Marner vs Rantanen poll that got some 400+ votes and which Rantanen took (percentages) 71-29. So, yes, at least there are some that think Marner is better.
