Then picks all those great high-risk/high-rewards players with their many 2nds and 3rds:

Thought some Finns went way too late, but then there also have now been many more drafted Finns than I thought. So, hm. Curious.

Finland closing the gap a bit but I guess the draft position matters more. Finland got a lot at the very end.

I was also glad to see some Germans, Belarussians. Even a Danish goalie pretty high.

All right. Well maybe the second best year is 2019 as 2017 was very top heavy for Finland and the best one so far.

Other countries combined which includes Czech, Slovakia, Germany, Denmark, Belarus and Switzerland only had 19 draft picks. Just shows how much Czech and Slovakia have fallen off the radar. Hopefully it's temporary.
