[NHL]626370[/NHL]

June 27

Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch
Ryan Kesler gets out of the way which means St. Louis Blues can turn their focus to Spezza. #Sens

Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch
The Blues have been the most active bidder on Spezza. They went in to today having up the ante. #Sens

Andy Strickland ‏@andystrickland 54s
#Sens GM Bryan Murray told Jason Spezza's camp today he's yet to receive an offer that satisfies Ottawa.

Andy Strickland @andystrickland
Spezza camp told Murray they would welcome an opportunity to speak with a club before a trade to talk contract options moving forward #sens

@renlavoietva: "I'm told OTT doesn't have a good offer on the table for Spezza. He won't be traded today if it doesn't change."

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Told that Ottawa insisted to the end in talks with Anaheim on 10th overall pick. Ducks went Kesler route instead

Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch
Bryan Murray and Stan Bowman just ended a long chat. They didn't shake hands. #Sens haven't heard what they want from anyone.

June 28 - Spezza Nixes Trade to Preds; shatters hopes that this ceaseless merry-go-round of poppycock will end any time soon. - Pierre LeBrun

I haven't really been paying much attention to this years draft class but does anyone have a few favorites they hope are available at pick 40?

A lot of Ontario boys within that range. I assume that's a criteria on Murray's checklist.

I just want a swede. Subban and Weber were picked in second rounds as well, so if its not a swede murray better pick a player of their caliber.

Damn I hope Murray is on the same page as you.. He better get a subban or weber or else it will be a failure of a draft.

I had a dream that we traded Spezza to Florida for the first overall (lol) which we used to draft Josh Ho-Sang. Hilarity ensued. That's all I have to contribute to this thread.

What are your thoughs on guys like Ho-Sang and DeAngelo? Both have 1st round talent, but bad attitudes. With the good prospect depth that the Sens have already, I'm not overly interested in drafting a guy who projects to be a bottom 6 player. And both are expected to drop out of the 1st round now.

I kind of like the idea of taking a home run swing on a guy. If he's a bust, then it's not the end of the world. If he works out, then it's potentially the steal of the draft.

If we're looking at Swedes, the only two that would really make sense at 40 are Anton Karlsson (probably gone) and Marcus Pettersson.

Anton Karlsson's ranking has slipped quite a bit, I think that he will most probably be there at 40. There is also a 99% chance that Pettersson is drafted before Karlsson.

Yawn..... If the Sens don't pick up a fairly early 1st pick before the draft starts it will be movie night in Ottawa tonight.

Sens fans, I need your help!

I'll be in Sharbot Lake tonight, any one from the area know if TSN1200 reaches that area? If not, any other radio stations cover the draft?

Thanks a bunch!
