So Doughty crushes 16 after losing the run off round against Theodore. Top rate dman, a couple a off years for him as the Kings rebuild, but many suspect he will be top of his game. Me too. Anyways Ekblad Werenski Dahlin Provorov still onboard so lets vote 17!

Fair spot for a few different guys, but I'll go Parayko.

Playoff Klingberg is like top 10 honestly but unfortunately we don't see that Klingberg far enough during the regular season anymore. He can take over playoff games but this last regular season especially he just wasnt the same/didnt carry that same effort most nights. Not just that, but he was a major liability most nights

Parayko, Reilly, Klingberg, or MAYBE Gio (if he bounces back this year).

Voted Reilly just cause I had to pick one

people are really giving up on Burns after one off year of 45P..... I mean hes just one year removed from having an 83P season.

Ya, unpopular on hfboards but I'd have Burns, Karlsson, Doughty and Gio all much higher. Most of them were very elite a year ago with one somewhat down season. Karlsson in particular is a lock to make people look silly.

Is it just me or are a lot of these defensemen very close? I voted Parayko but I could've just as easily voted for half of the guys on this list

He's 35. Expecting him to bounce back in a big way on an awful sharks team is unreasonable

Same could've been said about Giordano last season
Last season Giordano won the Norris. Expectations were high for this year. This season was rough and again no one realisticly expects him to bounce back to those previous levels. Exact same as Burns. I fail to see your point. Infact you're literally proving my point?

Provorov being underrated yet again is no surprise... he's definitely better than McAvoy at 11
How do you figure? He's not elite enough defensively to make up for being a 40 point player imo. He's great and definitely a #1 though. Just not top 15-20

It seems to me that Hughes, Mcavoy, Makar and Heiskanen have gone way too early. Young players sure do get overrated over proven commodities over a long period of time.

Unfortunately a lot of these polls turn into popularity contests with the bigger fan bases voting in their guy.
I’d have Parayko, Giordano and Werenski, for example, above Reilly here.
Yeah this is quite silly having Rielly go next but these things always happen it seems
