Hello again from the NYR Boards. Due to requests from multiple posters across the boards, I've decided to continue the All Time draft into a second round. The rules for this draft are as follows, if you did not remember:

1. Every team gets a single pick in the round, and the draft order follows the standings as of 3/20/2020 (the first day of the draft). So even if a team traded its 1st Round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, they still get a choice in this draft.
2. All retired/inactive NHL players are considered eligible for this draft (including guys playing overseas like Jagr). This also includes players like Tretiak who never had an NHL career but are hockey legends in their own right. All active NHL players, as well as players whose rights are owned by an NHL team, are ineligible
3. It is assumed that player abilities are "up-to-date" with the modern game, so a player like Eddie Shore who played in a far different NHL will not be at a disadvantage compared to say Wayne Gretzky or Jaromir Jagr
4. All players will be drafted into the organization at the age of 18, similar to the NHL Entry Draft
5. It is assumed that players will have a similar ceiling to during their playing career, and have the ability to reach said ceiling, although this is not guaranteed. Similarly, they are not guaranteed to suffer the same injury woes they did during their career (should that be relevant)
6. I'll give 2-3 days for votes to come in before the next team goes on the clock.
7. In the event of a tie, I will set up a tiebreaker poll
8. Please check the below post before voting for a player, as it's possible they have already been taken. And remember again, active players are ineligible.

Voting:
I'll update this comment as each new vote comes in, but I can only count it if it's a single player vote (so not "Shore or Harvey" for example). If you're changing your vote later on, that's fine, just make a note of it. I apologize in advance if I am delayed in adding your vote, I am now working full-time so have much less free time on my hands

Keith Tkachuk (2)- Dr. VinnyBoombatz, AJnumbers
Al MacInnis (1)- rt

Well,
On the D: MacInnis, Housley, Murphy, Leetch, Suter
On the F: Beliveau, Recchi, Trottier, Modano, Oats, Gilmour, Sundin, Iginla, Tkachuk, Shanahan, Gartner, Brind'Amour, Hossa, Mogilny, Datsyuk, LaFontaine, Kariya
Goalies: Luongo, Kiprusoff (I don't like the old stand up goalies)

I'd go with Tkachuk and keep the big & nasty theme going...although I really loved Mogilny & Kariya

If you're looking for nasty, how about a guy like Sprague Cleghorn? Per wikipedia, "He claimed to have been involved in at least fifty incidents during his career in which a player left the ice on a stretcher."

Also, if there's a player you don't know much about on my "best on the board" list, let me know and I'll copy-paste from their wikipedia page rather than doing actual research

lol research.

this is a fantasy draft right? In a complete fantasy I would want a team with physical players who can score and lead. Lindros is on our team but Stevens and Pronger are on other teams so maybe he gets concussed again. So, I’m thinking Trottier or Iginla (I think both were dominant than Tkachuk). But I can’t believe Datsyuk (and to a lesser degree Shanahan) are still around.

Vote goes to Trottier. Great leader, won a lot more than the other guys and still played physical. Plus that gives us center depth we’re sorely lacking in real life

Also @UnSandvich surprised you didn’t go reverse snake with the draft order — a team like Detroit is at a huge advantage bc they’re drafting 1st every round

Just like how the real draft works (albeit without the lottery). Really, part of it was just laziness on my part. I was having enough trouble figuring out how to format the second round's posts without re-arranging the order as it was

I would consider Trottier. Did not see the 1st round so dont know who you picked already nor who might be missing from your list.

This club has always been without a big 1C. It's time to correct that.

My vote is for Mats Sundin.

It's gotta be Trots for me. Bunch of nice names on there, though.

Not to be rude, but aren't you a Leafs fan? Your profile stuff certainly suggests it. Why are you voting in the Carolina poll?
