Anyone play this? I'm having issues getting it launch but the videos all over YouTube are amazing. The modding community has really made a gem here. I hope I can figure out my issue.

They have multiple rosters for many seasons complete that you can play. Pretty amazing.

The shots look like they're wacking golf balls, but it's still a great game to this day with the mods, especially franchise mode.

While bolded is true, NHL 04 is still the game I prefer over current (ps4) games.
My list would be:
1. Most of old-gen NHL's (360/ps3)
2. NHL 04
3. Hopefully next-gen will take this spot.

The forum above is great posted by @pukovnik

Beware though - the install does not work on my PC. It does work on my laptop. It seems very picky on modern hardware.

On my laptop which is super modern for NHL 04 standards works fine. I5 7200u, 3,6ghz, 8 gb ram, gtx 950m 2gb.

I feel like I played this so long ago. Glad to see the project is still going strong. I don't remember fully, but can you play a Franchise still with these update rosters?

If anyone is into modding there is the 2KHS game. I believe it is a mod from NHL11?: https://www.youtube.com/user/2khockeytv

Yeah you can. Only 30 teams though.

2kHS is a mod for Wii 2k11. But it is very CPU hungry.

I prefer NHL 2k8 over NHL 04 right now. Playing the hell out of it, have 1993 NHL rosters going and with all the old school jerseys, it's absolutely beautiful.

Where do you get rosters for that? PS2 or PS3 emulation?

2K5 was always my favourite hockey game, so I wouldn't mind giving 2K8 a shot. Mostly just been looking for a game to play on PC with updated rosters or at least rosters from a different time period (ala 93).

2009 is bad, even with the 1080p mod lol

I play the actual game on my PS3, no emulation or PC.

What's your problem with 04 on the PC? Might can help.

I currently play 2k10 emulated. It drops into the 30s fps wise but is playable. Unfortunately 2k8, which I likely would prefer, has audio stutter on RPCS3. Both have updated rosteres (pre Free Agent Frenzy).

Don't even bother to install ps3 emulator and play NHL, because on configuration you have it will be slide show. My cousin have best i5 processor there is, 16 gb ram, gtx 1660 and he tried to play NHL legacy and it wasn't playable.

Yep, you'll need atleast a Ryzen 7 3700x or even better an i9 to play it properly.

It launches a white screen for a second and then closes.

Changing options changes how the initial window looks but then it closes itself. I'm basically at the option of trying to reinstall Windows.

I know I've installed it right because I've done it on my laptop and it works there.

Where do you find your updated rosters? Feel free to PM if you want. Right now NHL 09 is best option for PC, but I'm thinking 2K5 will be more enjoyable for me if that's all my PC can handle.

I have a pretty good PC. I can emulate my copy of NCAA 14 perfectly. I have an i7 9700 and 1660Ti.

Hi, it's too much to ask maybe, but where did you find the digital image of NHL 2k10. Thanks.
