DirecTV deal expiring. New partner anticipated.

AppleTV thought to be front runner, but negotiations moving slowly. NFL is explicit in contract language as to what is included, Apple wants what isn't there.
Sounds like NFL wants $3.5B for deal, yet value may be falling.

That $3.5B is unrealistic if you are trying to do it on an exclusive provider.

id love to see Amazon numbers of those who got prime just for football. With Covid you already had the Amazon prime membership.

if you open it up to all streaming and cable and satellite for homes and put the price at $250 a year the NFL probably get 10M buyers for s2.5B. they can add additional $50-$100 fee for multi-format or multiple device access such as you buy it through cable and you add streaming for your iPad.

You add in separate bars/ restaurants fees and have separate Canada, Mexico, and other international markets they likely exceed the $3.5B target
