The new spring top 50 list released by Hockeys Futures shows that 7 of New Islanders prospects made it in the top 50 with i more honourable mention. The following are the prospects and their new ranking:

Tuka Rask - #7 and best rank goaltender
Marc Staal - #13 should be able to take over one of the top defence pairing in 2008/2009 season
Cody Franson - #15 what a steal considering I picked him in a 5th round
Josh Harding - #17 - is already starting to show his skills in a limited NHL action with Wild
Justine Pogge -#34 Has regressed abit from last year but is on right track and should challenge for a position in 2008/2009 year
Jeff Tamballini - #44 - currently with New York Islanders replacing Chris Simon, has performed well in a limited number of games
Matt Lashoff - #47 - Has performed okay as injury replacement call up with the bruins and will challenge for permanant role next season
Alex Bourett - #HM - struggled at the begining of the season but picked up later on - was traded to New ork Rangers at the deadline - will challenge for a 4th line role next season
