New Years Resolutions are like Dylan Holloway’s body. They are made to be broken.

But the Oilers need to make a few resolutions and keep them.

Top 5 Oilers New Years Resolutions

1: Make the playoffs. Kind of goes without saying.

2: Create space. Trade or buyout Jack Campbell. Either or.

3: Get a partner. Find Leon a right winger. On or before the TDL.

4: Spend more money. Sign Leon this summer.

5: Gain weight. A larger heavier bottom 6.

Haha, oh the truth stings.

Debuting a rookie goaltender to the NHL on the second of back-to-back nights on the road would be a poor spot to put a player.

… right?

If it were me I'd start Rodrigues, but very likely you are correct
I respectfully but vehemently disagree.

It's a coach's & organization's job to put players in situations where they have a chance to succeed.
Calling up the day of & playing a goalie in his 1st NHL appearance & start in a scheduled loss situation is wrong on many levels.

So let's just stop with the nonsense, it is not a scheduled loss, the ducks are not good. The organizations job is to put out the best team. They have a massive hole in goal and a kid playing extremely well, you, as an organization, are literally required to see if he can play at the NHL level or what the f*** are you even doing?

Calvin Pickard is not an NHL regular and that's fine, but they need an NHL regular

There are lots of lesser opponents in easier situations coming up though.
Rodrigues literally just has to drive down the hwy, this opportunity couldn't be more perfect and it's a mild challenge

I still disagree.
