WHL to name Dan Near as next league commissioner on Thursday | TSN

It appears the Western Hockey League has found a new commissioner. According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the WHL is expected to name Dan Near as the successor for longtime commissioner Ron Robison on Thursday.

He did an interview on 32 Thoughts, and did mention that he wants the WHL to return to Winnipeg in the future.
