I can still see Cogliano going 1st round no matter what league he is playing in. The guy as super offensive capabilities.

In a deep draft like this he might fall out? I haven't heard anything on him for a month and the last thing was negative, but he had a great spring, and was at the same level as Brule ect. Durring top level tournaments. So he's interesting...I have him just outisde of 30 because to me he's an unknown prospect. Same with Anikeenko. I just don't have any read on these guys so I put a guy like Ryan Stoa whom I've seen alot higher.

deep draft or not, with his talent level he is going to be a good one. I do agree that playing in Jr A another year is not helping his case much, and his strength does have to get better, but as young as he is and as offensivly gifted of a goal scorer he is IMO if he is still there around 20 to 30 you can expect to see him gone.

Cogliano's numbers thus far aren't as good as last year's. He had something like 76 points in 38 games last year (I just remember he averaged 2 points/game). Through 27 games this season, he has 50 points, so he's slightly behind that pace. I expected him to put up bigger numbers this season. Maybe teams are targeting him more, I don't know.

But, as you've said, in top level tourneys he's always near the top in scoring. At the Under-18 Junior World Cup a few months ago he led Canada with 9 points (same team that featured Brule, etc...).

He just signed his letter of intent to Michigan so the coaches could finally comment on him. The Wolverine coaching staff calls him a dynamic offensive player. When comparing him to others, they said he's a mix of T.J. Hensick and Jeff Tambellini. Not a bad mix to be!
