    Czechs irked by NHL offer

$15m to all of Europe/year for three years, relax max 45 players per country.

Looks like there are detractors, but the Czechs appear to be on board.

Agreement won't go into affect until/if all seven federations agree to deal.

Another reason (in the long list of things) why we should all hope that the NHL's marketing department can get in gear, and that there will be a better demand for the game, leading to a US TV deal.

More revenues for the NHL will allow more to be fed back to the European feeder leagues. I'm not saying that they should get what football (ie, soccer) teams pay, but the do deserve more than what the NHL is currently offering so that they can continue to produce players.

European teams need this money in the adsence of potential revenue from domestic sponsorships if the players were stars back home....
