New pants for a roller player transitioning to ice

Long time roller hockey player looking to make the transition to Ice and looking at buying Ice hockey pants.

First issue is that I have a 33 inch waste and I'm 5'7". Looked at sizing guides that say a 33" is a medium and the biggest a small will fit is 32". But will a medium not be too long?

Also, I'm pretty speedy so I want something light and mobile, but still a little durable. Protection is not an issue for me and I'm on a $100 budget. Looked at the Nike Quest 3 pant, any others I should consider?

I've had the same Nike pants for about 5 years. They don't have a ton of padding but they are VERY confortable.

Try on all the brands. Some will be the same size but fit different or less or more padding.
